Benji and Sheba have become the best of friends. Often, you can find Benji throwing a toy to Sheba. If he is anywhere near his highchair, you can be sure that she is nearby and looking for food.
Turning one year old and going to bed

Benjamin turned one year old last week. It was like a switch turning on in his head and now he is more active and communicating with us than he has ever done before. It is amaizing how he will sit and play and talk while he plays and is so happy and content. Well the day was winding down and we deceided to put him to bed. To our amazement this is what our little one year old did:
First Hair Cut

Benjamin had his first hair cut today. We went to a kids hair cut place. Just before they closed we asked them to trim his hair a little. At first he was interested in what was going on.
Then as time passes on (10 seconds give or take) he started to worry about what it was we were doing. I think he liked his hair and wanted to keep it. 
We had to work with him a little bit since we were cutting so close to his ears. Benjamin is about to turn one in 9 days. He was showing us what two was going to look like with him.
He eventually started to calm down. Mom tried to work with him to get his attention away from the sissors around the back of his head. Once his attention was diverted he started to relax and enjoy the hair cut.
In the end, we got his hair cut. We both held our breaths since the little baby we new as Benji was turning into the little Benjamin boy. I couldn't believe how much older he looked. 
Yes, mom saved a bit of his hair. It is a memory that we will never forget and a moment in time to treasure.

It has been about 5 months since the birth of our son, Benjamin. He has brought so much happiness and joy to our lives. Plus, a few sleepless nights. This is just a little view of how wonderful it has been being Mom and Dad to Benjamin. He makes us so proud. We couldn't have asked for anything more in a son. Each time we look in our son's eye we see just how grand God is. We thank him every day for Benjamin and all that He has given to us.
