Remembering The Past with the Future

It is funny how history repeats itself. Sometimes, history repeats by chance and other times it repeats on purpose. Most people do not realize that Julianne and I were married on the same day as Julianne's parents. It was their 28th wedding anniversary when we married in 2002. Just like the saying goes, "something old and something new." Well, we had a few things that were old in our wedding that had a lot of meaning. The silver cake cutter, used at Julianne's parents' wedding, had Julianne's parents' names and wedding date engraved on it and when we got married our names and wedding date was added to the other side. That tradition of passing things on to our children continues on with our child.

Benjamin was born at Northside Hospital in 2009. It was over 35 years ago, that I was born at Northside Hospital. When I was born, my mom was a school teacher and my dad a consultant. Benjamin was born to a mother who is a teacher and a father who is consultant. Within the first week of my life, I had a picture taken of me with a special blanket.

Hello World

When I first learned how to program, one of the first programs that I created was "Hello World". Well, today is the first day of my son's life. So, I guess this is my "Hello World". We couldn't have done it without all the prayers and love of our family and friends. These same family and friends helped us through so much. Our church family at Dunwoody Baptist has been unbelievable. They have encouraged us with "thinking of you notes" to visits with us while in the hospital. It warms our hearts to feel this love. We hope to pass all this love and care to our newborn, Benji. God has blessed us!

We have now entered the 24 week mark with Benjamin. He is growing nicely and as of his 23 week ultrasound, Benjamin was 1 pound 7 ounces. The doctors are pleased with his progress and we are preparing for an induction at 38 weeks if all continues to go well. As we have just past Thanksgiving, I am most thankful for the blessing of our baby boy, who we can't wait to add to our family. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and well wishes! We are truly blessed this holiday season!

We had an ultrasound completed this week and got to see that our baby is going to be a boy! The images they can get by doing an ultrasound is unbelievable. It was amazing how clear it was to see the baby. We could see the Spine, Fibula, Humerus, Abdomen, and the Heart . All of which were doing very well and looked like they should.

We are going to have a Baby

I was so excited to hear that everything was going as expected and we were going to have a baby. This is our third pregnany and I hope and pray that this time all will go well. It is always exciting to hear those words, WE ARE PREGNANT. That is unless you are not wanting to have a child like we were for the last 6 years.

For those that don't know, it was about three years ago that we were pregnant. Unfortunately, we had an issue that led to a miscarriage. Then, a few months later Julianne was pregnant with Joshua, who was later stillborn on August 24, 2007. Now that we are pregnant with Benjamin, we are excited as well as watching everything going on praying that all will go well.
